How to Chose the Right Pair of Sunglasses
posted 2011 Sep by Kim Taylor

SoSunglasses.co.uk are constantly keeping their eye on the latest sunglasses trends, and the sunglasses in which the celebrities have been spotted in most recently, so that we can bring you the most up to date classic styles for you to wear yourselves. But the truth is that the most important factor when selecting your sunglasses is not ‘What is the hottest style this month?’ It should actually be ‘Which suits your face the most" and " what will be fashionable season after season"? The reason is that sunglasses have a much longer life span than most fashion accessories, so a well chosen pair could last you years, rather than just for one season.

Round Faces

These need sunglasses with straight lines to play down the roundness of the face. Dark sunglasses will help to exaggerate the angles of the sunglasses and draw attention away from a round face. Try the Retro Ski Style Sunglasses from SoSunglasses.co.uk from only £7.00

Triangle Faces

Avoid wide sunglasses that will accentuate wide top of the face and make chins look pointy, but do make sure that the sunglasses are just slightly wider than the widest part of your face; otherwise the sunglasses will look lost, and will highlight the width of the top of the face instead of masking it. Aviator sunglasses look good on nearly everyone, so try the Beautiful Studded Aviators which are only £14.00 from SoSunglasses.co.uk

Inverted Triangle faces

Chose wide sunglasses to balance the width of the bottom of the face. If possible try to find sunglasses that are wider at the top then the bottom such as Wayfarers. SoSunglasses.co.uk has a large selection of Wayfarers from just £7.00, as well as the Original Ray-Ban Wayfarer 2140 for just £85.00.

Square Face

Soften the features with curvy, rounded sunglasses. Avoid square sunglasses that may reflect the angle of your jaw and therefore emphasize it. The Prada Butterfly Sunglasses are perfect for square faces, available from SoSunglasses.co.uk at only a fraction of their recommended retail price.

Oval Face

You are lucky your balanced features allow you to experiment with different styles, so why not try the funky 80’s Style Neon Wayfarers from soSunglasses.co.uk, for only £14.00

Diamond Face

Draw attention to those lovely cheekbones with cats-eye style sunglasses such as the Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses available from SoSuinglasses.co.uk for only £99.99.

Small Faces

If you are confident then go for massive over size frames, which will accentuate the petiteness of the face, just like they do for Victoria Beckham and Nicole Richie. If you do not want to draw attention to yourself, go for delicate frames. You may find that when opting for a pair of small sunglasses, rimless styles are better as they won’t look so heavy on your face. The Bug Eye Style frames from YSL are discounted to £99.99 at SoSunglasses.co.uk.

Large Faces

The most important factor with large faces is to make sure that the sunglasses are big enough for the face. Each eye should be positioned in the middle of the lens – horizontally and vertically, and the frame should always hide your eyebrow. The gorgeous pair of Gucci 3058/s Sunglasses from SoSunglasses.co.uk should definitely do the job!

Long Faces

Reduce the effect of a long face with wide frames, and shorted nose length with wide bridge to the sunglasses. The Vintage Firewing Sunglasses from SoSunglasse.co.uk are perfect, and are available for only £13.00.

Katie Price in Pink Aviator Sunglasses
posted 2011 Aug by Kim Taylor

Look at Katie Price in these lovely Pink Aviator Sunglasses

Katie loves these Pink Aviator Sunglasses. She has been spotted in them more than once by the Daily Mail, wearing them on the way to her horse-riding lesson as well as out and about around Brighton.

With all the media attention on Katie at the moment due to her split with Peter Andre, we are sure that she is pleased that she can keep all the camera flashes out of her eyes whilst looking so good!

If you love them just as much, you can have a pair just like these, for only £7.00 from SoSunglasses.co.uk

.

Sunglasses at Festivals 2009

Looking back over the festivals in 2009 so far Aviators seem to have been the most popular sunglasses this season, in smart metal frames or retro plastic such as the ones worn by Jules De Martino from the Ting-Tings, who appeared in glamour.com after chilling back stage at the V Festival in a pair of white retro aviators. One thing we are definitely seeing more of in 2009 is women in Aviator Sunglasses. Cosmopolitan snapped up Jameela Jamil, the T4 presenter, in these flattering aviator sunglasses with a pretty pink dress and heavy boot combo

We have noticed that Wayfarers have been popular again this year, continuing the trend from 2008, however this year we are seeing them not only in the cool black frames such as the ones worn by Cat Deely at Glastonbury this year (spotted by Glamour Magazine) but also in brighter colours and neon’s, like the ones worn by the Festival goer at Choachella 09 featured in Marie Claire.

The most obvious style this year is probably the Oversize Sunglasses, which seem to make a reappearance year after year, and are still turning up, to compliment more feminine outfits such as the one worn by Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud at Glastonbury this year, as seen in Cosmopolitan Magazine

Wayfarers have been popular since the 1950’s when the extremely cool James Dean was photographed in them. This year we are seeing the more indie influenced celebs, such as Lilly Allen, Sienna Miller, and Fearne Cotton in them. Sosunglasses.co.uk has a choice of Wayfarers, from the Original Ray-Ban 2140 Sunglasses, to Retro two-tone Neon wayfarers for only £14.00.

Oakley defined sport performance eyewear. Today they continue to redefine it. Together with Oakley, athletes like Lance Armstrong and Kevin Pietersen continue to make their mark on the world. With sunglasses designed to help them, and you, Oakley are creating a whole new definition of performance but certainly not least, the style that seems like it will never go out of fashion is Oversized Sunglasses. Nicole Richie is among the many stars who are well know for wearing oversized sunglasses, and all the high profile designers such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior have beautiful oversize sunnies that will glam up any school outfit.

So, as hard as your school may try to make you another conformist member of the grey and white heard – break out, and flaunt your individualism by accessorizing with a hot pair of sunnies to suit your unique style.

SoSunglasses.co.uk understands the true value of sunglasses, they stay in fashion for much longer then clothes, so they will complete your look, and can hide the effects of late night studying (or partying!!), for at least the whole of the next school year. It is worth investing in the best pair possible, a massive range of sunglasses from just £6.50 a pair can be found at SoSunglasses.co.uk, or if your purse can stretch to it SoSunglasses.co.uk also have a designer collection featuring all the styles mentioned above. We look forward to your visit.

SoSunglasses.co.uk introduces Lozza Sunglasses Collection
posted 2009 Sep by Kim Taylor

Lozza has been linked for more than a century to Italian tradition, having been designing sunglasses since 1878, making it the oldest eyewear brand in Italy.

Lozza Sunglasses are manufactured by the famous De Rigo Group who also produce brands such as Guess, Police, Jean Paul Gaultier, Pirelli, and Givenchy. When De Rigo Vision talks about their Lozza sunglasses collection they say ‘we can speak about 3 fundamentally important concepts: “prestige”, “reliability”, and “class”.

Lozza has always been a forerunner in the choice of styles and materials, and as such has continued to grow and evolve. Today, Lozza prides itself in offering a large range of eyewear that is not only sophisticated and classical, but are also very reasonably priced in terms of their high quality.

The type of characteristics that can be found in Lozza’s high quality sunglasses are lightweight metals, polarized lenses and ultra-thin frames. Lozza sunglasses also feature Attiva Melanine lenses, which have been produced following advanced research in the optical field, guaranteeing total UV protection, quality of vision and absolute comfort. Melanine is the most effective natural pigment for the defence against harmful radiation from the sun and helps slow down the aging process of ocular tissues and the forming of wrinkles around the eyes.

SoSunglasses.co.uk has decided to introduce a collection of Lozza sunglasses because they wanted to make sure that they offered a range of sunglasses that were suited to the more conservative adult market, on top of the large range of more contemporary, fashionable styles that they already sell, such as Aviator sunglasses and Wayfarers.

SoSunglasses.co.uk Introduces new Sports Sunglasses Collection
posted 2011

The London 2012 Olympics has already started inspiring many more people than ever before to take up a new sport, and with the Nations Health and the world’s environment being hot topics in the news, sports such as cycling are becoming more and more popular, not only in the UK but overseas as well. With these factors in mind, along side the imminent onset of the winter sports season, SoSunglasses.co.uk has made the move to increase their range by also offering sports sunglasses.

SoSunglasses.co.uk, wanted to ensure that their Designer Sports Eyewear Collection was not only at the forefront of the latest trends, but that it totally catered for all sports people, especially those with maximum performance in mind. For this reason they have chosen RayZor sports sunglasses and goggles. But of course, following SoSunglasses’ commitment to low prices, the entire range of RayZor eyewear has been heavily discounted from its RRP.

All of RayZor sunglasses & goggles have been designed to be Shatterproof, Lightweight and Robust, with the flexibility to enable them to sit tight to most adult head sizes, ensuring there is little, to no movement during active sporting activities, making them suitable for most sports including but not exclusive to skiing, cycling, cricket, sailing, fishing, archery, and tennis, amongst other sports.

Richard from RayZor says ‘Many of our competition offer lightweight Sports Sunglasses but cannot offer the same durability without adding to the weight of their Sunglasses. We are proud to say that RayZor Sunglasses offers you both’

In addition to this every pair protects your eyes with a Maximum UV400 Protection and meets CE European UV protection lens standards. Some of the sunglasses also feature the RayZor Revo Lenses, which use an exclusive system that manages the light. They have been developed by applying a multiple layers of a special coating composed of Titanium and Silicon oxides. Sometimes various colours are used at each stage which creates the rainbow effect found on some of the models.

The RayZor Revo Lens acts as a Light Equalizer, which eliminates 100% of harmful UV Rays. It then processes Blue/Violet light by filtering out harmful rays while passing the part of the spectrum that is necessary for distinguishing colours, thus, colour focusing is improved and vision is sharper and brighter offering maximised definition. All the Sunglasses with the RayZor Revo Lens will be clearly outlined in the Product Description.

SoSunglasses.co.uk Announces Introduction of Classic Designer Sunglasses Range in Line with 2011/2012 Celebrity Trends.
posted 2012

There has been a huge growth in the sunglasses market in the last few years and this trend looks like it is going to continue well into 2012 and beyond.

The fashion craze for sunglasses was born in Hollywood, where stars used to wear them to protect their eyes from studio lighting, so it is fitting that we still look to the stars for the latest sunglasses trends. In the 1950s, James Dean popularized Ray-bans and these are back in 2011/12, now popular with celebrities such as Rhianna and Reece Witherspoon, along with other retro styles like Aviators worn by the football player Ronaldo, and bold, big, and beautiful oversized styles, also known as “Jackie O" frames after their original wearer, now being worn by celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Heidi Klum.

Of course celebrities can afford to spend much more on a pair of sunglasses than the average person. Lucky for us then that retailers like SoSunglasses.co.uk are happy to sell luxurious designer sunglasses with up to 40% off their recommended retail price. Our vision this year is to continue to build on the range of key manufacturers such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Carrera and Gucci, but we will hand-pick the selection to ensure that our customers do not have to spend hours choosing the right pair of Sunglasses. There are so many designs for each manufacturer that it can be very off putting and confusing. We try to help by providing the Classic Designs that last as well as the season's best sellers. .

So, even though you may not be able pay thousands of pounds for a designer outfit to mimic the celebrity trends, a more realistic spend of just £85 with SoSunglasses.co.uk can get you a major designer name on a pair of sunglasses, and will ensure that you give your outfit this seasons must have style, even on a smaller budget.

Pamela Mitchell, the new owner of SoSunglasses.co.uk, endorses the new Designer Sunglasses collection by saying, “We are always keeping an eye on the latest trends, and want to make sure that our customers have access to all the latest fashions at the great prices. It was clear to me that we needed to add the designer collection to ensure that we can offer a full range of sunglasses to suit every taste, and we made the decision to pass on the discounts we receive, so that our customers can take full advantage of the relationships we have with our suppliers. “ Our focus in 2012 with the new ownership is to provide our customers with the great classic designs that last season to season, as well as the season's best sellers worn by celebrities.

SoSunglasses.co.uk continues to also sell a wide range of fashionable sunglasses at extremely low prices. To find out more about SoSunglasses.co.uk latest discounted designer sunglasses collection, please visit www.sosunglasses.co.uk.
